    Overview

A calmer, faster way to do the grocery run

Cartwise is a mobile grocery shopping app designed to make one of the most routine chores feel quick and effortless. Shoppers can browse, find what they need and build their cart in a few taps, with an interface that stays clear even when there are hundreds of products to choose from. I built Cartwise as a self-initiated product, taking a detailed design from Figma and turning it into a complete mobile app.

    Challenge

In online shopping, small details decide whether people buy

E-commerce businesses spend real money on design, then often watch it get lost in the build. Spacing drifts, colours and fonts shift, product cards look slightly different from screen to screen, and the polished experience that was signed off in the design never quite makes it to customers. In a shopping app, that gap matters: an interface that feels a little off feels less trustworthy, and a less trustworthy checkout is where carts get abandoned. The challenge was to build a grocery app that looks and feels exactly as it was designed, on every screen.

    Solution

A pixel-faithful build of the design, screen for screen

I treated the Figma design as the source of truth and built Cartwise to match it closely, from layout and spacing to typography, colours and the small interactions that make an app feel finished. Reusable building blocks, such as product cards, buttons and cart items, keep every screen consistent, so the app stays faithful to the design as it grows. The result is a shopping experience that is clean, easy to browse and true to what the designer intended. For businesses, that means the investment in design shows up in the product customers actually use.
